After a hot start for Loko in 2024-25, Shokhrin cooled off to finish with 17 points in 36 games, but maybe more importantly for the young defenceman – he finished with a plus minus differential of 19, which ranked as the fifth highest on the team. Shokhrin doesn’t turn 20 until February of 2026, and if he continues to improve his offensive output during the season he may be seeing some time in the KHL. Should he get that opportunity, he’s likely to see a top four opportunity in the AHL within the next few years. Should he crack an NHL roster one day, look for him to mainly help in the hits department.

Shokhrin is off to a great start to his season, starting with Loko-76 of the MHL Silver Division and moving up to Loko of the MHL Gold Division. With Loko-76, Shokhrin posted no goals and five assists in seven games while also having 29 penalty minutes, 25 of those coming in one game. After moving up to Loko of the MHL Gold Division, Shokhrin has been on fire. Shokhrin has one goal and seven assists for eight points in just five games. He’s been a dynamic player for Loko offensively, quarterbacking a power play unit and contributing heavily offensively while playing around 22 minutes a night on the top pairing.
