Projected potential

Bio

A big center who moves well. Knows how to use his body in front of the net, screening goaltenders and deflecting shots. Needs to develop his all-around 200-foot game.

What is PNHLe?

PNHLe is an offensive stat that is used to project a player’s point potential at the NHL level and is meant to standardize a variety of leagues so that prospects can be compared from one league with another.

PNHLe attempts to equalize all leagues, age and positions so that the offensive potential of a prospect can easily be compared with others, while also projecting future NHL point potential in the prime years of a player.

The problem with NHLe

The premise of the NHLe stat is certainly a great idea. If a player jumps directly from one league to the NHL there should be some precedent set by historical values that would indicate how many points that player should project to having in a full NHL season. However, it always bothered me that NHLe never took into account that younger players in the same league would always have a massive disadvantage compared to those that have more experience and are physically more mature in the same league. NHLe only looks at the present to predict how many points in one league are equated at the NHL level.

Scouting Feed

Felcman signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in March 2026. His deal carries an average annual value (AAV) of $996K and runs through the 2028-29 season.

March 2026 – Felcman signed his entry-level contract with Chicago on March 27. The deal The deal carries a $997K AVV and runs thoruhg the 2028-29 season. Felcman finished his Swiss NL season with a career-high in games played (20), goals (3), assists (17), and points (20) with the SCL Tigers. The 20-year-old is expected to be sent to the Rockford Ice Hogs in the AHL.

Felcman’s current season in the Swiss NL has been more about trust and role than raw production. Through 34 games with the SCL Tigers, he is sitting at one goal and 12 assists, a modest total but one that reflects how he is being used in a tight, structured men’s league. He’s logging regular minutes, staying within his lanes, and doing the little things coaches value, even if it doies not always show up on the scoresheet. His game leans heavily on processing and puck support. He is not a finisher, and the goal totals reflect that, but the assist heavy profile fits his skill set. The next step is adding strength and assertiveness to handle physical pressure more consistently. Development wise, this season is about learning pace, detail, and reliability against men, laying groundwork rather than chasing offense.

Felcman spent the 2024-2025 season skating for the SCL Tigers of the Swiss League, potting a goal and adding eight assists in 34 games. He’s more known for his defensive acumen, and was the youngest skater on his team, so the muted offense certainly has an explanation. He’s a big body at 6-4 and 198 pounds, and the Blackhawks will need to fill the bottom-six with young, drafted talent as well as the work they’ve put into the top six, so we could see Felcman come across the pond to showcase in the AHL sooner rather than later. At present, the 20 year old remains unsigned, and committed to the Swiss League again for 2025-2026.

The Chicago Blackhawks drafted Felcman in the third round (93rd overall) in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. Mark Henry
