Projected potential

Bio

High energy, hard-working, goal-scoring winger who isn’t afraid to get to the middle of the ice to generate scoring chances. Top-six potential can contribute to the power play and be an asset on the penalty kill. Add and stash in dynasty leagues, low risk/high reward.

What is PNHLe?

PNHLe is an offensive stat that is used to project a player’s point potential at the NHL level and is meant to standardize a variety of leagues so that prospects can be compared from one league with another.

PNHLe attempts to equalize all leagues, age and positions so that the offensive potential of a prospect can easily be compared with others, while also projecting future NHL point potential in the prime years of a player.

The problem with NHLe

The premise of the NHLe stat is certainly a great idea. If a player jumps directly from one league to the NHL there should be some precedent set by historical values that would indicate how many points that player should project to having in a full NHL season. However, it always bothered me that NHLe never took into account that younger players in the same league would always have a massive disadvantage compared to those that have more experience and are physically more mature in the same league. NHLe only looks at the present to predict how many points in one league are equated at the NHL level.

Scouting Feed

Rashevsky’s contract with HC Dynamo Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League expired at the end of the 2024-25 season. He remained unsigned by the Winnipeg Jets and signed a three-year offer sheet with Avangard Omsk. In June 2025, Dynamo Moscow confirmed that he had left Dynamo for Avangard due to monetary compensation.

Rashevsky played 67 games with Dynamo (Moscow) in the KHL and finished the 2023/24 regular season fifth in team scoring with 43 points (24 goals and 19 assists).

Rashevsky signed a two-year contract extension through the 2024-25 season with Dynamo Moskva of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on February 6, 2023. While he made it clear he’s comfortable playing in his home country, Russia, the possibility of Rashevsky coming to North America will be considered once he fulfills his recent extension. If his game develops in the KHL, the Winnipeg Jets could have an NHL-ready top-six sniper if he decides to leave the KHL.

Rashevsky’s development has taken a massive leap forward as he enjoyed a successful KHL campaign with Dynamo Moskva, racking up 35 points in 48 games (19 goals, 16 assists) in the process. Playing only 14:35 per night, Rashevsky drove the second line, away from arguably the league’s best player and teammate, Vadim Shipachyov. Finishing third for total points on his squad and at just 22 years old, Rashevsky’s 0.73 points-per-game led all players under 25. His 19 goals placed him in the top-10 league-wide while playing an average of two minutes less than anyone else on the list. He has extremely deceptive vision while distributing to teammates, and his crown jewel is the nonstop motor that powers him to constantly push the pace of play. Rashevsky rarely gives up on a play, which is a testament to his league-leading 16 even-strength goals. While his skating mechanics could use some work before making the jump to North America, the Jets seem to have a legit 30 goal – 60 point top-six upside winger on their hands. Look for Rashevsky to build upon his totals as he continues to develop in Moscow for at least one more season before crossing the pond.

Rashevsky was selected in the fifth round by the Jets, after being lauded as a potential gem by scouts since before he went undrafted in last year’s round of selections. After scoring six points in six VHL games as a 20-year-old last season, Rashevsky hoped to become a main roster player on Dynamo Moskva’s KHL squad this year, and did just that: he now has 14 goals and nine assists for 23 points in only 24 KHL games so far, leading all under-22 KHL forwards by a margin of five goals and eight points.

Rashevsky has proven to be a reliable, hard-nosed power forward in the KHL, capable of producing offensively with back-to-back 40-point campaigns. In four seasons with HC Dynamo Moscow, he has averaged 39 points, 20.25 goals (with a low of 19, achieved three times), and 18.75 assists per season. If Rashevsky plays out the complete three-year deal, he would not be available to join the Jets until he is 28 years old.

If the Jets could get Rashevsky to North America, he could immediately slot into a top-nine forward role in Winnipeg, providing immediate fantasy value. However, the chances of Rashevsky ever playing for the Jets organization look slim at this point.

Playing on the same team as KHL legend Vadim Shipachyov (36 points in 23 games) has its benefits, but Rashevsky has also been creating his magic against the best men’s hockey players in Russia. I’ve got a good feeling about the Russian winger, but he’ll need to be more involved off the puck and use his stick more intelligently in those circumstances to dominate at the NHL level, truly. He has the rest, however.
