Projected potential

Bio

A big, steady, reliable, technically sound goaltender who tracks pucks extremely well, who does not overcommit and uses his size to his advantage. Keep an eye on him as he enters the 2026 NHL Draft.

PNHLe

PNHLe data is not available for this prospect yet.

What is PNHLe?

PNHLe is an offensive stat that is used to project a player’s point potential at the NHL level and is meant to standardize a variety of leagues so that prospects can be compared from one league with another.

PNHLe attempts to equalize all leagues, age and positions so that the offensive potential of a prospect can easily be compared with others, while also projecting future NHL point potential in the prime years of a player.

The problem with NHLe

The premise of the NHLe stat is certainly a great idea. If a player jumps directly from one league to the NHL there should be some precedent set by historical values that would indicate how many points that player should project to having in a full NHL season. However, it always bothered me that NHLe never took into account that younger players in the same league would always have a massive disadvantage compared to those that have more experience and are physically more mature in the same league. NHLe only looks at the present to predict how many points in one league are equated at the NHL level.

Scouting Feed

Růžička missed training camp with the Brandon Wheat Kings and did not make his WHL debut until October 10th. He has made up for lost time. He is one of the most impressive rookies in the Western Hockey League, and by the end of the 2025-26 season, he could be garnering attention from NHL teams heading into the 2026 NHL Draft as they look to add franchise goaltending depth.

Quickly becoming a steady option between the pipes for the Brandon Wheat Kings. Růžička helped the team rebound from a slow start to the 2025-26 campaign. The 17-year-old Czech goaltender is 11-4 in his first 16 WHL games, posting a 3.30 GAA and .900 SV% while carrying the majority of the load for the Wheat Kings through November and December, demonstrating strong adaptability to the smaller ice surface in North America.

Trending upward, Růžička is an intriguing goaltender to keep an eye on, and his name could surface on future 2026 NHL Draft lists in the new year. He still has a long way to go to get drafted next June. Still, if he can accomplish that, then we can talk about his long-term fantasy relevance.
