Selected 75th overall, Michal Pradel is now a member of the Detroit Red Wings. He joins a deep goaltending prospect pool in Detroit that includes Sebastian Cossa, Trey Augustine, Michal Postava, Rudy Guimond, and Landon Miller in their system. Pradel is a big goaltender who utilizes the butterfly technique well, and due to his quick lateral movement and reactions, he makes it difficult for opposing shooters. The one consistent negative aspect of Pradel’s game is that he tends to drop too early. He is a long way from fantasy relevance. Still, he is a goalie that you should not be afraid to roster in dynasty leagues, even with the aforementioned log jam of goaltending prospects in the Red Wings’ prospect depth chart.

Pradel made the move to North America during the 2024-25 season, compiling a 9-4-0 record with one shutout in 14 regular-season appearances with the Tri-City Storm of the USHL. It remains to be seen whether being drafted fourth overall in the CHL Import Draft by the Regina Pats will prompt Pradel to return to the USHL or play in the Western Hockey League (WHL) during the 2025-26 campaign.
