Liske was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2nd round (53rd overall) of the 2026 NHL Draft.

Final Rankings: Brek has been one of the more improved players throughout the season. At the beginning of the season I felt like there was a lot that was “loose” in his game. Puck touches, reads with the puck, retrievals, pinches. However, throughout the year Liske continuously improved culminating a great WHL playoff run that ended in a championship and a memorial cup final. By the end of the year, his stride slightly improved and I would now call an average skater for his size. Brek makes decisions quickly and effectively, whether that’s breakout passes, pinching. His offensive ability from the blue line improved as well, where he often receives a pass and makes a move past his man for shooting opportunities as well as jumping in from the blue line off the puck. Defensively he excels defending off the rush but sometimes struggles with in zone and net front defense. Liske does a lot of things well but he seems to be a high floor low ceiling defenseman. –
