Chase Harrington is an interesting player to evaluate, as in his D-1, he played a complementary role with Spokane, where he scored 50 points, but this year, he was thrust into a role as Spokane’s #1 player, where he did not flourish as one would have hoped. However, Harrington’s skill set projects him as a complementary winger rather than a play-driving one. Harrington often tried to take over games, and more often than not, it did not work out in his favor. He is utilized best in the corners, diving into battles, battling in front of the net, and bringing an agitator aspect to his game. The best example of Harrington being an agitator is during a game against Prince George when fellow 2026 draft prospect Carson Carels took a rough hit in front of the Spokane bench, and Harrington leaned over the boards to taunt Carels while he laid on the ice in pain. That is the type of energy that Harrington approaches the game of hockey with. Long-term, Harrington’s upside is a complementary middle-six winger who plays net front on the power play and gets under the opponent’s skin. Watch for him to take significant steps as soon as he is no longer relied upon as the top player on his team.
