Korotky has continued to build momentum in his first full KHL season, producing at better than a half-point-per-game pace against strong competition and looking like an increasingly interesting long-term fantasy asset in the St. Louis system. The seventh-round pick’s offensive skill has been evident in the way he creates, using strong playmaking instincts and clever timing to open space and manipulate defenders in the offensive zone. Beyond the scoring, his profile is made even more appealing by meaningful peripheral value, with strong hit and block rates that give him an above-average BASH foundation for the league. There is still development needed in the rest of his game, but there have been encouraging signs in both his skating and defensive awareness. If that progress continues, Korotky has the tools to develop into a well-rounded prospect with real appeal in deeper dynasty formats.
Korotky is a highly skilled forward capable of producing offensively. He split the 2024-25 season across three Russian leagues: the MHL, VHL, and KHL. In a combined 59 regular-season games, Korotky produced 41 points (22 goals and 19 assists). In 18 playoff games between the KHL and MHL, he added 19 points (nine goals and 10 assists), all of which were in 16 MHL games; two games in the KHL yielded zero points. He is under contract in the Kontinental Hockey League until 2027, making him a long-term project that will develop in the KHL for the next couple of seasons, possibly longer. Depending on what he decides to do after his current contract expires, should he choose to make his way to North America, Korotky could be NHL-ready.
The St. Louis Blues drafted Korotky in the seventh round (211th overall) in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
