A third-round selection from 2023 (88th overall), Moroz was in his last year of draft eligibility. At the time, picking an older unheralded prospect seemed to be a head scratcher, but Moroz has been quietly good for Dinamo Minsk in the KHL. He had 26 goals and 44 points in 66 games, good for tenth in lighting the lamp. Moroz nearly doubled his points from 2023-24. At 21 years old, he’s worked his way into being a top-line winger in the KHL, an impressive feat. Armed with an excellent shot, Moroz is an all-around player without a lot of weakness in his game who can play either wing. With his 6-2 frame, he has potential as a power forward. Moroz regularly holds off opponents and thrives along the boards. He also plays a strong 200-foot game. Signed for one more year in the KHL, Utah will look to bring the Belarusian over to North America for 2026-27.
