Rombach is a massive 6-6 blueliner that had many scouts excited entering his draft year. He recorded 17 points in 57 games for the Lincoln Stars (USHL) in the 2024-25 season before being selected early in the second round of the 2025 NHL Draft. The defensive blueliner is committed to the University of Minnesota (NCAA) for the 2025-26 season.

His feet have really come along, and by the end of the year, he was planting, accelerating, and using just footwork to match even the shiftiest forwards in the USHL.
