Stockselius signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Calgary Flames in May 2026. His deal carries an average annual value (AAV) of $1.01M and runs through the 2028-29 season. Stockselius split his time between the Djurgardens IF organization last season. The 18-year-old totaled 16 points in 11 games for the Under-20 squad, but tallied one assist in 16 games of SHL competition. Still, the fact that the Swedish winger is in the top league in Sweden at his age is a testament to his skill. He is a player to keep an eye on as he transitions to hockey in North America.

The largest forward selected by Calgary in 2025, Theo Stockselius (6-3) borderline dominated Sweden’s J20 league with 51 points in 40 games. His offensive impact is a product of his consistently deceptive playmaking. Stockselius has the skill to manipulate the play, is relentless on the puck, and doesn’t give it up before he can create space and connect a pass. At 54th overall, the Flames could have an effective middle-six centre on their hands. Expect him to develop for a couple of years in Sweden by moving up the ranks in the Djurgårdens system.
