Wagner has taken a step back in his second North American season, appearing in only 23 games with Manitoba and producing just one goal and one assist. He is not an every-game option for the Moose, and has done little with the limited opportunities he has been given, notably on the ice for more goals against than for. At his height, he carries less weight than you would expect, which may be contributing to the coaching staff’s reluctance to lean on him. Last year’s 13 points in 50 AHL games on a poor Manitoba team were modest enough – this year’s numbers are a step back from that already low bar. His development trajectory remains long, which suits Winnipeg just fine.

Scouting Feed
After coming over to North America in November 2024, Wagner played 50 games with the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League. He produced 13 points (eight goals and five assists). While these numbers do not stand out, keep in mind the Manitoba Moose were not very good during the 2024-25 season. Wagner has a long way to go to become fantasy-relevant; he is worth tracking as his career progresses with the Winnipeg Jets organization, but he is well off the fantasy radar at the moment.
On November 17, the Winnipeg Jets reassigned Wagner from Linköping of the SHL to the Manitoba Moose. Wagner played 16 games for Linköping this season and recorded zero points.
Wagner attended the Winnipeg Jets 2024 Development Camp on July 3-7, 2024. He will not participate in the 2024 Young Stars Classic in Penticton, B.C, September 13-16, 2024. He will play in Europe during the 2024-25 season for Linköping HC of the Swedish Hockey League.
An underwhelming 2023-24 season statistically, which saw Wagner win a silver medal with Sweden at the 2024 World Junior Championship, he failed to produce a point in the tournament. He played three games with Almtuna IS in HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden’s second-highest ice hockey league, again producing zero points. He finished the 2023-24 regular season with Linköping of the SHL, scored one goal, and added five assists in 41 games. Linkoping starts their 2024 playoffs versus Skellefteå AIK on March 22.
