Absolutely crushed the WHL with 132 points in 57 games, finishing with the best points per game (ppg) with 2.32, ahead of Gavin McKenna’s 2.30. He will be in training camp competing for an NHL spot, and while he could score his way on to the roster it is much more likely he plays most (if not all) 2025-26 in the AHL.

In 27 games for Spokane, Cristall has 66 points, already good for fourth overall on the team in scoring. This kid oozes offense and if he can translate his Junior play to the NHL, the Capitals could have the steal of the 2023 draft as Cristall has top line potential.

Cristall was traded from Kelowna to Spokane as the Chiefs look to load up for a Memorial Cup run. Cristall had 60 points in 28 games to lead Kelowna. Additionally, he was cut from Team Canada (again!!!!!) a team that had tremendous trouble scoring at the World Junior Championship and was eliminated early. Perhaps there is a correlation there.

Cristall was actually named to Team Canada’s preliminary World Junior Championship roster. He should be a shoe in but Team Canada has rejected him once before.

Cristall is currently leading the Rockets in scoring, in just seven games, with 20 points in seven games. He is the top player on Kelowna and should be invited to Team Canada for the World Junior Championship. Hopefully Canada smartens up and already has Cristall penned in to the roster.
