Snuggerud wrapped his collegiate career at Minnesota by leading the Golden Gophers with 51 points in 40 games . He earned numerous honors including All‑Big Ten First Team, All‑America Second Team, and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award . Late in the season he signed a three‑year entry‑level contract with the St. Louis Blues and made his NHL debut, posting four points in seven games . His skating, playmaking and scoring instincts suggest he has top-line upside, though he may need a season or two of adjustment at the NHL level. That said, he should receive top-six minutes and a real opportunity to contribute this season.

The St.Louis Blues signed Snuggerud to a three-year entry-level contract; he will join the Blues for practice on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Snuggerud was not only chosen to represent Team USA in the 2024 World Junior Championship but also started the tournament on their first line alongside Cutter Gauthier and Rutger McGroarty. Snuggerud had an impressive tournament, tallying eight points in six games. However, he played on the fourth line for the gold medal game. Throughout the competition, Snuggerud caught the attention of scouts with his remarkable shot and speed of play. After winning the gold, he returned to the University of Minnesota, where he has been a dominant force this season, scoring 16 goals in just 20 games.

After an impressive performance during the world junior for the USA, Snuggerud returns to the University of Minnesota and continues his domination alongside his linemates Logan Cooley and Matthew Knies. During the NCAA Frozen Four final, he was a major catalyst for his team with five shots on net and multiple high-scoring chances. Unfortunately, his effort wasn’t sufficient to earn his team the win. Snuggerud has decided to stay at the University of Minnesota this season to further his development.

The Blues’ first-round pick at this past summer’s draft has been performing exceptionally well in his freshman season with the Gophers. Snuggerud has taken no time to adjust to the NCAA game. In 12 games, he currently leads the team in goals and points with eight and 12 respectively. He has also found himself on a line with top prospects Matthew Knies and Logan Cooley. We will see if his production continues throughout the season, but the early signs are encouraging.
