Bio
Competitive right-shot winger whose fantasy case comes from touch plays, second-layer offense, and enough finishing to matter when he is around the net. The upside is more complementary scorer than true power-play driver, so he projects better as a deeper-league watch than a headline fantasy asset.
Probabilité de devenir un joueur NHL à temps plein (10,0 = 100 %). La grille du repêchage est un point de départ.
Potentiel

DobberProspectsJuly 2026
Hryckowian signed his two-year entry-level contract on March 20 after a junior season at Northeastern that earned Hockey East First Team honors, with 37 points in 30 games while leading the Huskies in goals, points, and shots. He closed the year in Texas with six points in 12 AHL games and three assists in five playoff games. At Dallas development camp he was arguably the best player on the ice all week. You could pick him out as the AHL guy from the first drills, dynamic on his stops and starts with real skating power, and he places the puck on his shot rather than just firing it. His four-on-two work was a masterclass, controlling the puck, pulling defenders out of position, and quarterbacking every sequence, then talking his teammates up on the ice and running a forward down on a backcheck. In the closing mini game he generated repeated coast-to-coast rushes, showed sharp give-and-go passing with Ryan Brown, and scored the game’s first goal off a neutral-zone feed, beating his man one-on-one. The fair caveat is that he is 21 with AHL reps against mostly teenage competition. His fantasy case still runs through pace, retrieval pressure, and shot volume rather than power-play touch. The next checkpoint is how quickly he earns top-nine minutes and penalty-kill trust in his first full Texas season. Andrew Epps
DobberProspectsMarch 2026
Hryckowian signed a two-year entry-level contract with Dallas after three seasons at Northeastern, where he posted 107 points in 100 NCAA games, matching brother Justin’s 1.07 points-per-game rate through college. His junior season was his best, with 15 goals, 22 assists, and 37 points in 30 games while leading the Huskies in goals and shots with 110. He earned Hockey East First Team All-Star honors and a Hobey Baker nomination.
DobberProspects
His toolkit is built around speed, retrieval pressure, and direct offensive habits. Hryckowian closes on pucks faster than most college forwards, forces turnovers along the wall, and turns those recoveries into transition chances. He creates more through pace, positioning, and volume than through individual deception, which shows in the shot total and in the way he consistently works his way into scoring areas. At 5-10, he wins battles more through timing, leverage, and leg drive than size, and his power play value remains limited compared to his five-on-five impact.
DobberProspects
The comparison to his brother, Justin, is useful, even if it is not exact. Both followed the same path through the USHL and Northeastern before signing with Dallas as undrafted free agents, and Dylan now lands with the same Texas Stars staff that helped develop his brother. For a Dallas organization that needs cost-controlled depth after spending draft capital at the trade deadline, there is a legitimate runway here if his pace carries to the AHL and he earns penalty-kill trust. The realistic ceiling looks like a 25-to-35-point bottom-six winger who kills penalties, finishes checks, and chips in timely offense.Hryckowian’s profile tightened this season into something more translatable than a simple college stat line.
DobberProspects
Northeastern leaned on him as a primary driver, and he answered with 37 points in 30 games, a team lead in goals, points, and shots, plus First-Team Hockey East honors before Dallas signed him on March 20 and sent him to Texas for the rest of the year. The habits that stand out are retrieval work, quick first-touch decisions, and support timing around the slot. Against Brown on Nov. 29, he freed a puck off the end boards and pushed it into the slot to start a scoring play. Against Boston College on March 7, he helped create a power-play finish in the slot, then outskated a defender to keep another puck alive behind the net before feeding Giacomo Martino for a goal.
