Milne re-signed with the Minnesota Wild to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season. The 22-year-old forward played in 60 games within the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Iowa Wild during he 2024-25 season, where he produced 26 points (15 goals and 11 assists). He chipped in on both special team categories with two power play goals and one short-handed goal. Milne also made his NHL debut with Minnesota on November 16, 2024, versus the Dallas Stars. He will struggle to see playing time with the deep Wild forward group in the NHL, but could be an injury call-up for a bottom-six role throughout the 2025-26 season. He will likely spend most of the season in the AHL. To secure a better opportunity in the NHL and provide fantasy value, Milne may need to sign with a different franchise after the 2025-26 season.

Milne played his first professional season in 2022-23 for the Iowa Wild in the AHL after being drafted as an overager during the 2022 NHL draft by the Minnesota Wild. As a young player in the professional ranks, he posted seven goals and six assists for a total of 13 points in 57 games, even playing two playoff games for experience. Coming off a strong final year in the WHL for the Winnipeg Jets, Milne remains a project to one day make the NHL. He has the potential to become a bottom-six energy player, but the potential is there to create even more of an impact in the NHL.
